Our Crazy “Hats On Day” Winners!

Last Friday, September 18th, was “Hats On Day” at LSA to raise awareness and money for children who are battling cancer. Students were also invited to decorate their hat to see who, among their classmates, would come to school with the craziest hat. The following students were the crazy “Hats On Day” winners at LSA:

   Christopher, 3rd Grade;

   Yacina, 4th Grade;

   Zayne, 5th Grade;

   Jessica, 6th Grade;

   Heber, 7th Grade; and

   Crystal, 8th Grade.

The total amount of money raised by students, faculty, and staff, for the Foundation for Children with Cancer was $160.00. Congratulations to all of our crazy “Hats On Day” winners, and thank you to all who donated to such a worthy cause!

 

All School Mass on Friday

There will be a Mass celebrated this Friday, September 25th at 9:00 a.m., for the beginning of our new school year. The Mass will take place across the street from LaSalle Academy at Saint Michael’s Church. Everyone is invited to attend and celebrate the beginning of the school year with us!

 

No School for Students on Monday

On Monday, September 28th there will be no school for students due to a faculty meeting.

          

Help Prevent Swine Flu

Mary Rochford, from the Office of Catholic Education, has written a letter about suggested ways to help prevent the spread of Swine Flu. This letter is included in your family folders, so please be sure to read it and take into consideration her suggestions for your family and children. Thank you for your cooperation!

 

Pots, Pans, and Tupperware!

A board member for LaSalle Academy has donated gently used pots, pans, and Tupperware. If you are interested in these kitchen items, please contact Ms. Diamond or Mrs. Burns for further information.
