"Making a Difference"
The Board of Trustees of La Salle Academy is honored to sponsor this inaugural fundraising event "Making a Difference" on behalf of all of our students. La Salle Academy is dedicated to educating children whose potential is limited by financial, social or academic challenges, and whose parents/guardians desire, but cannot afford, a Catholic education.
La Salle Academy is an independent Catholic grade school, owned by the Board of Trustees and conducted in the traditions of the Christian Brothers and the Sisters of Saint Joseph. La Salle Academy offers children in grades 3 through 8 a small classroom size, extended-day and extended year learning environment, a myriad of afterschool activities, comprehensive social services support and a graduate support program. In addition, LSA provides the academic, social, and spiritual supports necessary for students to become successful people and lifelong learners. With a strong awareness of Christ in themselves and in others, La Salle Academy students and graduates are confident of their own self-worth and will be of service to the communities in which they live.
La Salle Academy is truly making a difference in these children’s lives. LSA has a 96% daily attendance rate, a 95% retention rate and a 100% graduation rate, which are unheard of among urban students. Our standardized test scores have soared. Perhaps the most meaningful evidence of our success, though, comes not from statistics, but from the words of one of our graduates, "Coming to LSA has left me with wisdom, motivation, respect and determination. These are the qualities I plan on taking with me through high school, college and the rest of my life."
